Cabin details:
The cottage is approximately 800sq ft with 3 bedrooms, living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom (with shower), screened porch room, front deck facing waterfront, and a back deck.
Bedrooms: Bedroom #1 has a double bed. Bedroom #2 sleeps 4 with a double bed on the bottom and a loft above that sleeps 2. Bedroom#3 has a double bed. Clean sheets/pillowcases are provided along with pillows and blankets. There is also a daybed located in the screened-in porch.
Living room: The living space has a sofa sectional that pulls out into a double bed. The cottage is equipped with Air Conditioning, Ceiling fan, CD player, DVD, satellite TV and a selection of movies. There is a wood burning stove for those chilly mornings or evenings (wood provided).
Dining area: Dining table seats 6 (table has 2 sleeves that pull out to enlarge the table). Additional dining table can be found in the screened porch which seats 4+ (great place to stick the kids so you can eat in peace).
Kitchen: Kitchen is equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, electric grill, blender, various cooking and eating utensils, pots & pans, dishware, glassware. The tap water is filtered river water bring your own water for drinking and cooking. Many Crowe river residents use the filtered river water for dishwashing and cleaning their vegetables. For other cooking options, there is a barbeque located on the front deck (propane provided).
3-piece bathroom: Bathroom is equipped with shower (filtered river water), sink, and toilet. Outdoor hot & cold shower located at backend of cottage (for those who feel the need to be naked in nature).
Bring your own toiletries.
Laundry: Washer and Dryer available.
Screened Porch Room: This room has a table for dining that seats 4+ and a daybed for naps and additional sleeping at night. This room is always cool and shady and great for those folks for whom the mosquitoes find delicious.
Front Deck: Great view of the riverfront while you’re waiting for your burgers on the BBQ.
Wifi: Satellite internet available – don’t expect it to be like home, cause it’s not! You shouldn’t be on your devices anyway…go jump off the dock for Pete’s sake.
Outdoor activities & what’s provided:
Swimming: The water is clean, refreshing, and weed-free for some great swimming. Depth of water right at end of the floating dock ranges from 10 – 13 feet depending on water level then drops off to approx. 20 feet deep at middle of river.
Fishing: Great fishing area where you may catch pike, bass, pickerel, and the occasional Great White. Bring your own fishing gear. Fish right off the dock or take the canoe, rowboat or paddleboat.
Canoe/Paddle Boat/Row Boat/3 single sit-on-top kayaks/double sit-on-top kayak/Stand-up Paddleboard Junior: Lifejackets provided. There is a small island directly across the river from our cottage – follow the banks of the island to go completely around and back to the cottage (25 – 45 min).
Campfire: Firewood, chairs and roasting sticks provided.
Walking Trails: Beautiful walking paths around Fire Route 6 and 6A
Fund Box: Located on counter-top above washing machine. For basic kitchen and bathroom supplies, firewood , propane, long distance phone calls, and miscellaneous damages incurred during your stay, we ask that you contribute to the fund box to help cover these costs.
